Put your experience coordinating the production of industrial equipment to work in a new position with a great company today!The Plant Manager will oversee and maintain the manufacturing plant operations including production output and schedules, quality, storage, and maintenance for a machine/job shop company. The Plant Manager shall ensure the plant operates in a profitable and safe fashion, must have a strong understanding of how every production process works. Seeking a true leader capable of being in the center or sales, product design and development, production and customer needs. Primary responsibilities of the Plant Manager include: ? Coordination of production projects by working directly with employees and supervisors in different departments ? Schedule the work load and make adjustments in order to meet on time delivery? Meet with other Department Managers to aid in the quoting and design of product in order to provide the most effective way to meet customer's expectation? Responsible for hiring and firing of employees, handling employee conflicts and creating a positive work environment? Oversee all production departments and spot check production progress and quality of work? Continuously evaluate the facility's operating processes and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency? Ensure that systems are in place to maintain production part inventories? Must be able to recognize and utilize manpower, facilities, equipment, materials and assets ensure maximum performance and to minimize production errors The qualified Plant Manager candidate will have:? BS or MS in Engineering is preferred, leadership and lean training is ideal? 5+ years in a similar Plant Manager or General Manager role is preferred? Staff and production management experience in industrial equipment, furnace and industrial ovens or combustion equipment is ideal? Knowledge in electrical concepts, controls, components and wiring diagrams ? Knowledge of furnace system components? Experience with industrial equipment and materials? Sheet metal and structural steel, metal forming, welding, and assembly? Strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make good decisions based on the best interests of the company? Experience with Lean practices and oversight of QC and customer complaints? Hands-on plant safety management and OHSA safety requirements? Able to be on call for urgent production issues and plant emergencies? Strong computer skills and ability to pick up new techniques and software quickly?
